This was what I gave away last Christmas. I think everybody liked it so I'm sharing it here. And as advertised, it's sooo easy to make!
Ingredients:
2 very ripe medium bananas
1-1/4 cup all purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar (you can reduce this to 1/2 cup if you don't want it too sweet)
1/4 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup water
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. white vinegar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork. Stir in the rest of the ingredients except for the chocolate chips and walnuts.
2. Pour batter into an ungreased 8-inch square pan. Sprinkle choco chips and walnuts over batter.
3. Bake 35 to 3 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely, about 45 minutes.
